Egi and Putu are joined at the hip. Their friendship really reminds me of how I was with my friend (and neighbor) Catherine when I was their age. It’s such a gift to find a sister when you weren’t born with one. They are always joking, laughing and whispering to one another - despite the fact that we can’t understand more than 80% of what they say anyway. They share a hilarious love for choreographed dance routines set to their own singing. They give me more compliments in an hour than I get in a week from everyone else in the world combined. When we got home from work on Valentine’s Day, we saw that they had written “JOSH I LOVE DEWI” (hmm) and “JOSH LOVE DEWI FOREVER” in front of our kost. Putu and Egi = awesome.
I am happy to be friends with these little divas. They are bursting with energy and always brighten my day. This afternoon I wanted to do something special with them so I invited them over for a chocolate party. I wish I had a picture of how their faces lit up when I told them about my idea! We had so much fun. We ate chocolate, watched Tom and Jerry cartoons and laughed like crazy. Something so small and inexpensive made us all feel special. It was a really good time. Little things like that make me so happy. It’s nice to share the love and show the people in your life you appreciate them. Missing my soul sisters who are living full lives all around the world; happy to see friendship and sisterhood all around me.
Big love.
